Maralee Grantham is a licensed real estate broker, member of the California Association of Realtors®; Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource SFR (National Assoc. of Realtors), and has an MBA and MA.
She works with a special group of realtors who cover most of the area from downtown to the ocean. Each specializing in a certain area so that they can call on each other to work jointly on any deal. The goal is to ensure clients receive the best possible representation. This helps buyers who are looking for the best deal in any given area by working with someone who is in that market and talking to owners and agents every day.
For sellers, often homes are sold within this group before being on the market for very long.
Those who work with Maralee and her group are quickly introduced to the power of niche marketing. She determines the unique qualities of her client's homes and focuses her efforts where those buyers are looking. Anyone facing a short sale or foreclosure can use Maralee's 20 year's banking experience as a resource to determine alternatives or if necessary to go through the process as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Before she started in real estate she was the top officer for 5 straight years in earnings at Bank of America. For most of her career her clients earned more on their investments with her than any other officer in the history of the division; her special interest has been studying real estate market cycles. Many clients have told her she has helped them see their home purchase within the broad picture of their investments.
As an economist, and later investment manager at Bank of America, she managed sizable portfolios of financial assets for clients from many countries. This included helping them form living trusts and corporations; and invest in precious metals, euro bonds, foreign exchange and the acquisition and sale of residential and income property. Her present focus is exclusively helping people buy and sell residential and income property. She focuses on the Westside of Los Angeles, and has more than 25 years experience working in the Los Angeles financial community.
She has lived in New York, Chicago, Madrid, Paris and London, and traveled throughout Europe and China; and had the good fortune to travel for business in the United States, Mexico and Central America. However, the Los Angeles area is her chosen home and Santa Monica her city.
Maralee’s goal is to help as many people as possible realize the dream of the California pioneers who came here from every country in the world seeking property ownership. Knowledge of the lives of the western pioneers has made obstacles in her personal life seem so much easier. She is a docent at the "Museum of Western Heritage" in Griffith Park, where she has been a volunteer lecturer and tour guide for over 15 years.
She is also a Red Cross Disaster Action Team member, Ambassador for the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, and member of the Junior League. Her fluency in Spanish has enabled her to help young inner city immigrants pass their high school exams. For fun she seeks wilderness adventure, camping, river running, kayaking and horse trekking. |
